Dr. Elizabeth Lloyd started out at Roanoke College and graduated with Honors with a BS in biology and an interest in genetics and bioinformatics. She then completed her research thesis on genetics and husbandry of the captive Cassowary population in Queensland, Australia, then graduated from the University College of Dublin School of Veterinary Medicine in Ireland. While there, she interacted with classmates from all over the world, including the United States and Canada. Dr. Lloyd’s interests include preventative wellness care, soft-tissue surgery and internal medicine.
When she’s not at work, Dr. Lloyd is a third-generation breeder of purebred Labrador Retrievers, and can be found hanging out with her two Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Ghillie and Jamey. A self-proclaimed foodie with a special fondness for Skittles, Dr. Lloyd really enjoys traveling and in addition to traveling all over the United States, she has voyaged to Europe, South and Central America and the Caribbean.
