Hospital Policies: After Hours/Emergency: Our doctors are happy to take phone calls during regular business hours. If you need to speak with a doctor, please call the clinic at 571-434-0250 and leave a message in the appropriate voice mail. They will return your call as soon as possible.
If you feel you have an emergency situation, please call The Life Centre in Leesburg at 703-777-5755 or the Hope Center for Advanced Veterinary Medicine at 703-281-5121.
If you believe your pet has been exposed to a toxin or poison, please call the National Animal Poison Control Center at 1-888-426-4435.
Prescriptions: We appreciate 24hrs notice on all prescription medication refills so that we may have your medications ready when you arrive. Online prescription refills can be requested by accessing your Pet Portal. You can set up your own Pet Portal account through our website or contact our staff for help.
Payment Policy: Payment is due at the time of your visit. We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Care Credit. AMC does not extend credit nor accept checks and you are responsible for all fees for products and services rendered. Deposits are required for extensive medical and surgical treatments that require hospitalization of your pet. If your balance is not paid at the time services are rendered, you will be responsible not only for the balance due but any collection and/or reasonable attorney fees that are incurred in the attempt to collect this debt.
Lateness/Cancellation: In order to serve everyone in a timely fashion, we ask that you make every attempt to arrive for your appointment on time. If you are a new client or you are bringing a new pet, please allow additional time before your appointment to fill out the necessary paperwork. If you find you are running late, we ask that you call us as we may be able to make adjustments to the schedule. Should you be more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule. Evening and weekend appointments are in high demand; if you are unable to make your appointment please provide us with 24 hour cancellation notice so we may offer that time to another client. We will make every attempt to see all appointments in a timely fashion. In the event that we are responding to an emergency, we ask that you please be patient and we will resume seeing our scheduled appointments as soon as possible.
